What is happening?  
Colleague / Self-Service, our Student Information System, will be temporarily offline for a
major system update.
 

 

During this timeframe, students will not be able to do the following:   

·         Search and register for classes 

·         View class schedules 

·         Check grades 

·         View financial aid details 

·         Make payments

·         Sign up for payment plans 

·         Update personal information 

·         Request transcripts  

 

Please note that faculty and staff will also not be able to access Colleague and Self-Service
during this timeframe.
 
 

When is this happening?  

Friday, March 28, 2025 at 1:00pm through Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 1:00pm.   
 

Who is affected?   

All GCCCD students and employees who use Colleague / Self-Service.

 

What else do I need to know?   

This will not affect Canvas, Workday or our college and District websites.

Starting April 2, 2025 after 1:00pm, there will be a new way to log in to Self-Service! Visit our New Way to Log in to Self-Service webpage for more information.

While Student Service offices will be open regular business hours during this timeframe.
The following departments will have limited access and can only provide general information:
 

 

o    Admissions and Records 

o    Financial Aid 

o    Cashier’s Office

 

All other Student Service departments will honor appointments and offices will be open. 

 

We appreciate your patience while the system is temporarily offline.    

 

The Veterans Center is a communal space to help ease the transition of student veterans into the academic setting. It is now a one-stop for all veterans services, including Resource Center, VA Education Benefit Certification, and Veteran Academic Counseling. The Veterans Center is staffed by a Veteran Coordinator, Certifying Official and Academic Counselor along with VA work study students to ensure that all student veterans receive the adequate help, support, and resources to succeed academically. The Veterans Center was recognized by Military Times as one of 300 colleges in the United States as a "Best for Vets" college for 2022. This recognition highlights the commitment Cuyamaca College has to supporting our veterans and military affiliated students.

Maximize MHA for Fall 2024

To maximize your MHA, you must be enrolled in at least one resident course and be enrolled as a full-time student.

 

How To Determine If A Course Is Resident Or Distance Learning For VA Certification

  • A course will be determined as a RESIDENT course for the term if the course description contains a on-campus location, meeting day and time.
  • A hybrid course will be determined as RESIDENT course for the term if the course description contains an on-campus meeting day and time with additional instructional hours/week via internet.  
  • A course will be determined as a DISTANCE course for the term if the course description DOES NOT contain an on-campus location or online meeting dates and times.

Important Information Regarding Enrollment Certification for Summer 2024 and Fall 2024

Priority registration will begin May 01, 2024. Please submit only summer paperwork at this time. You can submit Fall 2024 after July 05, 2024.
